Tasks
Your function : prepare the projects assigned to us within the framework contract with the network operator technically and organizationally so that the execution runs smoothly.
- You make a thorough analysis of each request and check technical specifications, drawings and other information received. You consult with the network operator where necessary to request additional information or to complete or adjust file requests.
- Depending on the type of file, you map out the situational context such as accessibility of the site, available space, necessary permits, necessary signage, phasing of any road works...this in consultation with the stakeholders in the field.
- You work out the detailed bill of materials for each project and place necessary orders in a timely manner.
- You prepare specific and clear work instructions for the performing shifts, and consult with site supervisors.
- For each file you make a calculation and determine any additional work in case of deviations from the framework contract. You discuss this with the client.
- You manage the complete file in our ERP package and also ensure an up-to-date and complete file (plans, drawings,material lists,...) for the executing teams.
- Furthermore, you ensure an accurate flow of information and communicate continuously with all parties involved, such as the client, project leaders, planning department, contractors, subcontractors, and thus help ensure good coordination between the various teams.
- You are alert for optimizations in the various systems and procedures, and you have a knack for efficiency.
Your profile
- You enjoyed a higher education (Ma or Ba) in a technical field, and you may already have some experience in work preparation, planning or project management in electrical engineering.
- You are technically strong, detail-oriented and go deep in your analyses, as well as being a pragmatic problem solver who can empathize well with the realities in the field.
- You communicate both externally and internally with fluency, enthusiasm and motivation. You are sufficiently bilingual N-F.
- You have an excellent knowledge of Excel and other ICT tools such as an ERP system. Knowledge of Navision/Visual Planning is an advantage.

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, we were present at the Technoboost edition in Izegem. This event offered an excellent opportunity to inform young people and their teachers about the possibilities within our company, both in terms of internships and future jobs.
In 2024 we again participated in the whale fishing sloop race, this time with two teams. During the exciting open final our teams achieved 5th and 10th place respectively. We are particularly proud of their excellent efforts!

On Oct. 17, 2024, the Youca Action Day took place, a wonderful initiative that gives young people the opportunity to spend a day working with a company. The goal is to raise money for projects fighting for a more just society. I was given the unique opportunity to work with my dad for one day at Verstraete Enterprises. I was really looking forward to this.
The future belongs to the youth and Technoboost in Torhout was an excellent opportunity for them as well as for our company! It was an opportunity for us to motivate young people for a technical ob.
On Tuesday, October 15, 2024 Light Infra organized a training day for apprentices in Herentals in collaboration with RTC Antwerp for the 2nd time.
An employee satisfaction survey was conducted in October 2024 in cooperation with the HR department as part of a training project. The survey was completed by both blue and white collar workers, which provided a balanced picture of the work environment.
The first edition of our summer festival took place on Friday, September 6, 2024, an event that was received with great enthusiasm.
