Thegrid needs to be adapted not only to human consumption, but also because of changing technologies such as central generation. If a home has solar panels, there is not only a purchase of electricity, but there is also a supply of electricity to the grid.

Are you a recent Ba/Ma graduate with a passion for engineering and a heart for electricity and lighting, or maybe you already have your first experience? Do you want to contribute to a modern charging infrastructure for e-cars, atmospheric monuments and sustainable sports field lighting? Do you want to learn and grow in your job? Tasks
As a Junior Project Engineer, you will support the successful execution of exciting electrical installation projects, from design to realization. You lead everything in the right direction and work closely with clients, study agencies and contractors to propose and realize innovative and sustainable solutions. You will report to the project manager.
- Based on info relayed by the customer through the project manager, you will make an accurate needs analysis and select the most appropriate solutions.
- You will prepare lighting plans and measurement statements, work out technical solutions such as controls, and create design drawings.
- You will prepare the quotation that the project manager will defend to the customer. In time, you will do this independently.
- You will support the planning, procurement, budgeting and follow-up of projects to delivery, and you will ensure the meticulous management of all project administration in our ERP system (Navision)
- After an induction period, you will also manage your own teams and subcontractors for a smooth execution of the works: strong focus on organization and people mangagement, including through regular site visits.
- You will participate in accurate financial project tracking: requisition statements, invoice control, cost tracking and yield control.
- You will ensure quality, safety and sustainability in every project.
Your profile
- Knowledge of electrical installation techniques is a must; initial experience is welcome, but starters are definitely considered.
- You enjoyed an education in electricity at bachelor or master level (engineer).
- You have strong orgnaisatory and communication skills and are administratively accurate.
- You are a team player who works smoothly with all stakeholders in the project.

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, we were present at the Technoboost edition in Izegem. This event offered an excellent opportunity to inform young people and their teachers about the possibilities within our company, both in terms of internships and future jobs.

On Oct. 17, 2024, the Youca Action Day took place, a wonderful initiative that gives young people the opportunity to spend a day working with a company. The goal is to raise money for projects fighting for a more just society. I was given the unique opportunity to work with my dad for one day at Verstraete Enterprises. I was really looking forward to this.
The future belongs to the youth and Technoboost in Torhout was an excellent opportunity for them as well as for our company! It was an opportunity for us to motivate young people for a technical ob.
On Tuesday, October 15, 2024 Light Infra organized a training day for apprentices in Herentals in collaboration with RTC Antwerp for the 2nd time.
An employee satisfaction survey was conducted in October 2024 in cooperation with the HR department as part of a training project. The survey was completed by both blue and white collar workers, which provided a balanced picture of the work environment.
The first edition of our summer festival took place on Friday, September 6, 2024, an event that was received with great enthusiasm.
